Logan is one of three main presenters on the BBC show alongside Mark Chapman and Kelly Cates , after Gary Lineker stepped down in 2025. On his new Disney+ documentary, The Real Rooneys, the ex-United star explained that working on Match of the Day gives him purpose and an excuse to get out of the house. Reflecting on his time as a manager, Rooney added: "I'm a realist I think you know as a player when your career is going to end and you can prepare for that.
